About the awards: CNBC TV 18’s Financial Advisor Awards were started to recognize & acknowledge, the critical role played by financial advisors in the wealth creation & preservation process. These prestigious awards were India’s first and most authoritative evaluation and awards that recognized the best financial advisors across the country and became a benchmark in the financial world and acknowledged the contribution financial advisors made to creating wealth and distributing expert and productive financial advice. The Financial Advisor Awards are powered by ICRA, India’s leading and most credible rating agency. The Financial Advisor Awards Ceremony was held on the 24th of September 2009 at the ITC Central Sheraton and Towers (Parel), Mumbai. The Evaluation Process: ICRA Limited, India’s leading provider of investment information and credit rating services in India, and an Associate of Moody’s Investors Service, conducts the evaluation process. The assessment is carried out based on the following indicative parameters
The evaluation process is a three-stage process with the first stage being screening of completed nomination application forms. This stage is followed by short listing of a limited number of financial advisors in each category (top 10% - for example); detailed information is sought and analysis carried out based on extensive interactions with ICRA. The third stage involved three final short listed financial advisors going through a round of presentations to a jury comprising of industry experts, regulators, CNBC-TV18 representatives and representatives from ICRA.
